with REH's "nameless tribes" and not
an original story.

story REH ever worked

Originally there was a complete
first draft, though the later portions
of it were in synopsis form, and a second
draft which was started but
didn't go very far.
Glenn Lord gave Andrew Offutt
the second draft beginning with
the remaining portion of the first draft,
Offutt worked from that.
REH wrote a short biography, Untitled
("Hernando
de Guzeman, born in …"), on Hernando
de Guzeman, whom he used
in "Nekht Semerkeht."
