"Wolves Beyond the Border" is an unfinished
story with a synopsis for the conclusion.
There are two known drafts of the story. These have been designated Draft
A and Draft B.
It is unknown if this booklet contains Draft A, Draft B, or both.
|
The content in this booklet is not clear.
The publishers website states that this booklet contains a synopsis of "Almuric."
According to Farnsworth Wright, at the time of his death, REH had completed
a first rough draft of "Almuric," and had done the greater part of the second
final draft. Neither draft is known to exist today (June 2025). Wright pieced
together an ending from the first draft and used it to complete the second
draft to make a complete story for publication in WEIRD TALES. This is in
accordance with a letter Wright wrote to Sam Moskowitz on January 4, 1939
giving information on future stories in WEIRD TALES and the 'Coming Next
Month' announcement in WEIRD TALES, April 1939.
