Notes
Collection Editor: Jeremy Barlow
Dark Horse Books is a division of Dark Horse Comics.
This reprint series was recolored from the original Marvel series utilizing computer coloring.
Roy Thomas writes that the story was from a "page-or-so-long outline of a story called  'The Well of Skelos' written sometime in the 1920s or early 1930s by REH." Thomas also writes that Glenn Lord sent him the synopsis to possibly turn into a Conan story.

This story was originally prepared as a 40 page tale for The Savage Sword of Conan.
The 40 page story was expanded to 51 story pages to fill three issues Conan the Barbarian (#79, 80, 81).
New pages (including splashes) were drawn by Ernie Chan to bridge the gap.
Some of these pages have not yet been attributed to him.
